Chonburi arrested a sudden Thai League 1 slump with a home 1-0 victory they were only able to manage after their opponents, Suphanburi, were reduced to 10 men on Sunday night.

The two sides remained on an even keel before Suwannapat Kingkaew was handed his second yellow card of the match for a foul on Dennis Murillo in the 80th minute and three minutes later, the Sharks bagged the winner through Renato Kelic.

Samut Prakan City experienced another frustrating night as they were held to a goalless draw by 10-man PT Prachuap in an away battle.

Prachuap's Metee Sarakum got his marching orders seven minutes before the break for a late tackle on Sarayut Sompim.

The home team went into the defensive mode and succeeded in warding off everything Samut Prakan could throw at them until the final whistle.

Also last night, Ratchaburi took three points from their home game against newcomers Chiangmai United following a 2-0 victory.

In the 20th minute, Ratchaburi got their first goal from Steeven Langil and Sanrawat Dechmitr doubled the margin in the 75th.

Meanwhile at SCG Stadium on Saturday night, Muang Thong United came back from one goal down to pick up three points with a 3-1 victory over promoted Khon Kaen United.

The visitors had a fine start as Ibson Melo put them ahead in the 13th minute.

The Kirins shifted gears after the break and a brilliant brace by attacking midfielder Sardor Mirzaev within the first 20 minutes of the second half tipped the balance in Muang Thong's favour.

Muang Thong got their third goal in the 70th minute from Willian Popp which deflated Khon Kaen's enthusiasm for a leveller.
