Asha "Knockout Queen" Roka will fight Alyse Anderson in a women's atomweight MMA bout at One X at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday after a two-year absence from the circle.

The Indian competitor's name is known in Southeast Asia thanks to her boxing skills, but her fame really only started to grow when she decided to dive into mixed martial arts.

Roka was dubbed the "Knockout Queen" after finishing Anjela Pink with a nine-second knockout.

She then went on to defeat three more opponents in a row in the first round.

Roka faces American MMA fighter Anderson following a series of hiccups in her last few bouts.

She dropped a decision loss against Gina Iniong of the Philippines and was unable to avoid a submission against Thailand's Stamp Fairtex.

While the Indian is excited about her upcoming performance, she is confident that the time away has only helped her improve her skill set.

"I watched my old fights and realised that I must work a lot on my ground game. I am working on [it] for this fight," she said.

Anderson is a well-rounded opponent, earning wins via both submissions and referee stoppages.

Despite the fact that she has both standup skills and a solid ground game, Roka aims to stick to the game plan that has consistently earned her a win.

"I always try for a knockout. My last two opponents were great fighters because of the experience under their belt. To compete against Alyse Anderson, I will have to give my best and try to punch well so that I can get a knockout win," she said.

Watch One X will be live on AIS Play from 4pm and on Thairath TV at midnight on March 26.
