"Tern" Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak takes the win on F4 Spanish Championship 2022

Thai young driver, "Tern" Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak was the leading driver for the opening season of the F4 Spanish Championship, held at Portimao, Portugal, with a wheel-perfect performance to win race 3 on the top podium position with the Thai flag and the Thai national anthem.

In race 1, the fight in the first half of the race saw Barter fend off attacks from Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (POL - MP Motorsport) and Italian Valerio Rinicella (ITA - MP Motorsport), who was then forced to the back of the field after a collision with his teammate. In the final laps, Kucharczyk himself had to give way to "Tern" Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, who took second place on the podium.

In race 2, the sprint race lasting 18 minutes plus one lap, Nikola Tsolov took his first win in a race marked by a double intervention of the safety car. In the few minutes of racing available, the Bulgarian was able to defend his position with Tymoteusz Kucharczyk securing second place and "Tern" Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak was the fifth place in the sprint race.

In race 3, "Tern" Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak was the star. Starting from pole position, the Thai driver resisted the attacks of race 1 winner Barter and his teammate Kucharczyk that brought him to the winner of the race. 

With these results, "Tern" Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak is the new leader (51 points), followed by Hugh Barter (45 points) and Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (42 points). For the next event of the F4 Spanish Championship 2022 will be held at Jerez Circuit in Spain on weekend of May 28-29.

"Tern" Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, 16 years old who practice and gained almost 10 years of experience and performance in both Go Kart and F4 races respectively and deciding to participate the F4 Spanish Championship in 2022 under MP Motorsport, car number 14 with AAS Motorsport by AAS Auto service and CTI Logistics to main sponsor and After You, RPM and Dhipaya insurance to be Co-Sponsor the race throughout the season.

"Due to the Covid restrictions and travel problems, we were unable to take part in the three major pre-season practice as well as the official test day, so we had to rely heavily on the free practice sessions," he said. "There were some technical glitches, but we were able to overcome them, and were able to bring the Thai flag and national anthem onto the podium."

The F4 Spanish Championship was introduced in 2016 which powered by Koiranen GP. For 2022 is the seventh season of racing championship and powered by Agrupacion Deportiva F4 Spain. The F4 Spanish Championship is official version of the FIA’s Formula 4 concept. The racing car is Tatuss F4 T-021, Abarth engine and 1.4-liter turbo with 176 hp.
