When Buriram United take on former champions PT Prachuap in the Thai League Cup final on Sunday, the Thunder Castle won't be only looking to complete a sweep of all three domestic football titles.
Buriram United director Samaporn Polbutr confirmed to the media at a news conference on the eve of the clash that his men are eager to avenge their loss to the Killer Wasps in the 2019 final of the tournament as well.
The event for the 2020 season, which dragged on longer than expected and ended last year due to a coronavirus pandemic, was cancelled.
Buriram have already won the Thai League 1 and FA Cup trophies this season whereas Prachuap struggled to guarantee themselves a place in Thai League 1 for another year.
"Buriram United are looking forward to taking revenge for their 2019 final loss to Prachuap in the penalty shoot-out and we definitely want to settle that score," said Samaporn.
Thunder Castle striker Supachai Chaided said, "We are ready for the match. We will do our best to become the triple champions.
"This will be our last match of the season, so we want to impress our fans."
Prachuap assistant coach, Nirut Surasiang said: "Buriram have done well to win the league and the FA Cup, but that doesn't mean that Prachuap can't win the League Cup tomorrow.
"We have prepared well and we'll try our best to win the title again."
Prachuap star Anawin Jujeen said, "We are ready to take on Buriram in the final.
"We fought against every team in Thai League 1 with whatever we had at our disposal and I am sure we have the potential to take the League Cup back to Prachuap again."
The winners of the event will receive 5 million baht while runners-up will get one million baht.
The final will start at 6pm at BG Stadium in Pathum Thani.
