Northeastern giants Buriram United completed a sweep of the three domestic football titles with a thumping 4-0 victory over former champions PT Prachuap in the Thai League Cup final on Sunday night.

The Thunder Castle struck in both halves of the match with Jonathan Bolingi hitting the target twice and Peeradol Chamratsamee and Suphanat Mueanta completing the rout with last-gasp goals.
Buriram also succeeded in exacting a revenge for their penalty shoot-out loss to the Killer Wasps in the 2019 League Cup final.
The event for the 2020 season, which dragged on longer than expected and ended last year due to a coronavirus pandemic, was cancelled.
Buriram went into last night's showdown with the Thai League 1 and FA Cup silverware already secured in their trophy cabinet.
Prachuap, who had a tough time avoiding a drop to the lower tier in Thai league this season, were able to put up some resistance in the first half but were rocked by a thundering header from Bolingi in the 35th minute when he connected with a Theerathon Bunmathan corner.
Ayub Masika came close to adding to Buriram's tally twice but was denied by Prachuap backline on both occasions.
Buriram continued to dominate the game in the second half and it didn't take them long to grab the second goal of the night.
Bolingi charged onto a through ball from Sasalak Haiprakhon six minutes into the second half and fired home from close range to deflate Prachuap's hopes for a comeback.
Prachuap were dealt another big blow when defender Saharat Pongsuwan was sent off for a foul after the match referee consulted the VAR. Theerathon's free-kick was saved by Prachuap goalkeeper Jirunpong Thamsiha.
More was in store for the Killer Wasps as they were stung by two late goals from Peerasol and Suphanat.
The Thunder Castle received five million baht for their triumph in the tournament while the runners-up got one million baht.
