Thai teenager Chanettee Wannasaen won her first title on European soil at the Trust Golf Links Series at Ramside Hall Golf Club in England on Friday.

The 18-year-old carded an even-par 73 in the final round for 208 to beat compatriot Arpichaya Yubol by three shots.

Arpichaya fired a 68 in the final round for 211 in the Ladies European Tour Access Series (Letas) with the top six players at the end of the season earning tickets to the main Ladies European Tour (LET).

"It means a lot to win in Europe and I am very happy with my game. I felt really confident today and I knew I could make it," said Chanettee.

The winner, who had a spectacular second round of nine-under 64 to give herself a comfortable lead, clinched an eighth consecutive win and will be aiming high at next week's Trust Golf Links Series at the Musselburgh Golf Club in Scotland.

"I am excited to go to Scotland next week and this win gives me a lot of confidence as I knew I could win in Europe and especially in the windy British conditions."

Germany's Chiara Noja was third after shooting a final-round 75 to regain the top spot on the Letas Order of Merit.

The low amateur of the tournament was England's Jessica Hall who was tied for fourth with Wales' Jordan Ryan on 217.

Thai duo Cholcheva Wongras and Trichat Cheenglab shared 10th place on 221.

The Letas will continue with the Trust Golf Links Series at the Musselburgh Golf Club in Scotland from July 14–16.
