BAT signs MoU with Chinese counterpart

The Badminton Association of Thailand (BAT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Chinese Badminton Association to promote cooperation in various fields and strengthen Thai national badminton teams to achieve excellence at the international level.

The MoU was co-signed by Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, president of the Badminton Association of Thailand and Zhang Jun, president of the Chinese Badminton Association at the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok. 

The signing ceremony was attended by Chinese ambassador to Thailand Han Zhiqiang. 

Khunying Patama who is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said the MoU covers various cooperations, including training of players, trainers and judges, promoting competitions at junior and senior levels and improving the competition system. 

"Chinese players are one of the very best. The cooperation with the Chinese Badminton Association will help improve the skills and standards of Thai squads."

"Thai national players need strong fundamentals to improve their skills to be at the world's top level," said Khunying Patama.
