American star Janet Todd put on an impressive performance to win the One interim atomweight Muay Thai world title at One 159 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium at the weekend.

The 36-year-old fighter earned a unanimous decision win over Spain's Lara Fernandez to gain the strap and getting crowned as a two-sport titleholder in One Championship.

Todd put her stamp on the match in the early rounds by preventing her opponent from getting a foothold thanks to her pressure and heavy strikes.

And though Fernandez challenged the atomweight kickboxing queen in the latter half of the co-main event tussle, "JT" did enough to get the judges' nod.

The California native now sets her sights on unifying the divisional gold against reigning queen Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

Both stars share a familiar foe in Stamp Fairtex, with each stripping the Thai superstar of a world title within six months of one another.

"JT" defeated the Fairtex standout in February 2020 to earn the One atomweight kickboxing world title.

Later that year, Rodrigues won the Muay Thai gold when she overcame Stamp via split decision.

Rodrigues, who is planning a return to the circle following the birth of her first child, has made it clear that it won't be long before she steps onto the global stage again. When she does come up against Todd to unify the belts, the Brazilian star can expect an intense challenge.

Todd has been on a dominant run in the atomweight striking disciplines.

The Californian is currently enjoying a seven-fight win streak, and her only loss inside the circle came in her debut against Stamp, who she had defeated.
