Red-hot Patcharajutar Kongkraphan used her wedges to brilliant effect to claim her third straight title with a two-shot victory at the fifth SAT-TWT Open Road to World Ranking event at the Lake View Resort and Country Club in Phetchaburi on Friday.

It was her second successive title on the Thai WPGA Tour following her win at the fourth Road to World Ranking tournament two weeks ago.

The 30-year-old also won on the Thai LPGA Tour last week.

She took home 367,000 baht in prize money from her latest success for a total of 891,000 baht over the past three weeks.

Known among fellow players as PK, the Khon Kaen-based star has now won 14 career titles.

The former LPGA Tour player shot a seven-under-par 65 in the final round on Friday for 205 to finish two shots ahead of Aunchisa Utama and Princess Superal of the Philippines.

"It's amazing that I won again. I played unbelievably well today," Patcharajutar said. "My wedges really helped me this week as I hit so many good shots from around 100 yards for birdie opportunities.

"I'm so happy to be able to stay in control in the last three holes as it was so windy."

Meanwhile, Aunchisa bounced back from a double bogey on the fifth hole and a bogey on the 10th to fire four birdies and finished the last round with a 69.

Superal also shot the same score in a bogey-free round.

Aunchisa and the Filipina each got 186,690 baht.

Second-round leader Saraporn Chamchoi was fourth on 209 after a round to forget.

The Lop Buri player hit a 74 in the final round with two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey.
