Nongbua Pitchaya coach Thawatchai Dumrong-ongtrakul has asked his men to come to grips with their lacklustre form and deliver their first points of the season after three straight losses in Thai League 1.

The northeastern club takes on in-form Ratchaburi in its fourth league match at home and Thawatchai wants Nongbua to claim three points from the game.

Nongbua, who had an impressive run last season in their first ever appearance in the top flight, are at the foot of the league table without any points.

Ratchaburi, on the other hand, are among the four sides tied at the top after perfect results in their first three games.

Thawatchai told a pre-match press conference yesterday that he is expecting a tough game against Ratchaburi.

"We have started the season in a highly unimpressive fashion and haven't found the net in three matches," he added.

"Ratchaburi are a strong team. They have started off well. They are in the top four now.

"But I think it is time for our team to win a match."

The big match of the weekend will see leaders Buriram United take on BG Pathum United, who were shocked 1-0 by Chonburi on Wednesday in their first league game of the season.

Pathum coach Makoto Teguramori said: "Although we did well in the AFC Champions League recently, we lost our first game of the domestic league. The players have been warned not to underestimate any team.

"The loss at Chonburi should serve as a good lesson for the team. They have to avoid conceding goals and also be able to turn any situation in their favour.

"The game with Buriram United will be another difficult game for us. Buriram are now the co-leaders with an unbeaten record.

"Although we beat them in the Thailand Champions Cup two months ago, this will be a totally different game."
