Jonathan Haggerty is known for making big moves in the circle and "The General" is now ready to make his biggest.

The 25-year-old is moving from flyweight to bantamweight to take on Vladimir Kuzmin under Muay Thai rules at ONE Fight Night 4: Abbasov v Lee on Nov 19 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

"The news is out. [I'm] stepping up to see what these bantamweight boys are saying. Kuzmin [is] first on the hit list," Haggerty posted on social media.

"The General" had to withdraw from two fights over the past year due to medical reasons.

The British star was initially slated to participate in the ONE flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix twice.

He was first scheduled to fight Walter Goncalves in May in the quarter-finals but was not medically cleared.

In August, he was going to face Amir Naseri in a Grand Prix alternate bout. However, he was once again not medically cleared.

At flyweight, he already fought some of the most difficult foes in the organisation, and many more lay ahead for him at bantamweight.

His former opponents include ONE Muay Thai world champions Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Joseph Lasiri.

The Englishman currently holds an 18-4 record and earned his claim to fame when he defeated Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship in May 2019.

He scored his latest victory at the start of this year against Mongkolpetch Petchyindee via unanimous decision.

While he has had success in the flyweight division, a chance to fight No.4-ranked contender Liam "Hitman" Harrison or, one day, ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao could be the Englisman's biggest opportunities yet.

"Bantamweight division," Haggerty warned on social media, "I am here."
