Red-hot Prayad Marksaeng continued his incredible run on the Japan Senior Golf Tour yesterday when he won his sixth consecutive title at the Cosmohealth Cup Senior Tournament.

The 56-year-old Thai fired a 67 in the second and final round to win on nine-under in the 36-hole tournament at Hirakawa Country Club in Chiba.

It was his 21st title since he joined the over-50 circuit in Japan in 2016.

Three shots behind Prayad was local player Tomoyuki Hirano while Thaworn Wiratchant, another Thai, finished tied for 19th on one-under.

Prayad took home ¥5.4 million (approx 1.4 million baht) which pushed his season earnings to ¥59 million.

With one event remaining this year, Prayad has been crowned the money champion for the fourth time.

The Hua Hin native previously won the money title from 2016-2018.

Prayad's previous wins this year were the Fukuoka Senior Open, ISPS Handa Yappariomoshiroi Senior Tournament, Trust Group Cup Saserbo Senior Open Golf Tournament, PGA Senior Championship Sumitomo Corporation Summit Cup and Japan Senior Open Golf Championship.

The final event of the season is the Iwasaki Shiratsuyu Senior Golf Tournament in Kagoshima from Nov 25-27.

Prayad is one of Thailand's most successful male golfers with six titles on Japan's regular tour and 10 on the Asian Tour.
