Since its inception in 2011, ONE Championship has shaken up the global combat sports scene.

But it's 2023 that will see one of the Singapore-based organisation's most exciting ventures kick off right here in the heart of Thailand.

In Bangkok on Jan 20, ONE and Lumpinee Stadium will come together for ONE Lumpinee 1 -- the first instalment of a weekly show that will run throughout the year.

The card will be split into two events, one that broadcasts live on Channel 7 HD every Friday night and another that will air around the world.

Spectators can watch both events, however, live from Lumpinee Stadium.

In the headliner of ONE Lumpinee 1, ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will defend his belt against former ONE bantamweight kickboxing titleholder Alaverdi Ramazanov of Russia.

Nong-O is undefeated in ONE and is one of the promotion's longest-reigning champions.

Ramazanov, for his part, has been on a tear since losing his kickboxing strap, so he'll be up for a firefight when he squares off with the Thai sensation.

Ushering in that spectacle will be the co-main event clash between former ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai and Lumpinee mainstay Kompetch Sitsarawatsuer.

Both fighters are tacticians, so this one will surely be an exciting chess match that may not go the distance.

After all, both men have something to prove. The duo have faced each other twice already, with Kompetch winning the first meeting and Prajanchai coming out on top in the second.

Both Thai and international Muay Thai fans will have a plethora of action to look forward to on the main card before the thrilling main and co-main events.

The event will see the return of Muangthai PK Saenchai after his battle with Liam Harrison, which was recently named ONE's 2022 Muay Thai fight of the year.

In addition, Thai star Seksan Or Kwanmuang will meet Australia's Tyson Harrison.

Seksan has developed the nickname "The Man Who Yields to No One" for good reason.

He's a powerful force in the ring and holds multiple Muay Thai world titles and fight of the year awards.

His opponent Harrison is a formidable foe, however, who'll undoubtedly test the Thai legend.

Altogether, ONE Lumpinee 1 is set to feature 10 Muay Thai bouts and two mixed martial arts fights -- guaranteeing nonstop excitement from start to finish.
