PT Prachuap pulled off a major upset last night when they gunned down Chonburi 3-1 in a Thai League 1 battle.

The shock defeat severley dented the Sharks' dream of putting up a challenge for this year's top honours.

Tanasith Siripala was the star player for hosts Prachuap as they wrote off a one-goal deficit to score the big victory.

Chalermpong Kerdkaew gave the visitors the lead after the 30-minute mark, but Chonburi conceded a penalty three minutes from half-time and Samuel Rosa made no mistake from the spot.

Tanasith then dealt a devastating blow to the Sharks' morale two minutes later, giving Prachuap a 2-1 edge at the break.

He was on target again after 69 minutes to put the game out of Chonburi's reach.

Four more games will be played today with the clash between Buriram United and Muang Thong United being the highlight match of the weekend.
