Bangkok United extended their unbeaten streak in Thai League 1 to nine games after salvaging a rallying 2-1 win at Chiang Rai United last night to keep their slim hopes of claiming this year's title alive.

Felipe Amorim gave the hosts the lead at 20 minutes. The Angels equalised in the 67th minute when Everton Goncalves struck before the Brazilian netted the winner in injury time.

The Rabbits were soon reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute when Shinnaphat Leeaoh was sent off by the match referee.

Meanwhile, coach Masatada Ishii said unbeaten leaders Buriram United are far from being a finished product.

Buriram, who have accumulated 55 points from 21 matches so far, are heavy favourites to defeat Lamphun Warriors tonight but Ishii insisted that the champions need to improve a lot of things.

The Warriors have yet to guarantee themselves a place in the top flight next season having only 20 points to their credit so far.

"Some of our players like Theerathon Bunmathan, Supachai Chaided and Suphanut Mueanta have done really well this season, but we do need to improve many things," said Ishii.

He added that Lamphun coach Alexandre Gama had led Buriram to many domestic titles in the past "so we would have to be extra careful."

In the other matches this evening, Port and Muang Thong United will face off at PAT Stadium, Pathum United will host Nongbua Pitchaya and Police Tero will take on visiting PT Prachuap.
