Buriram United coach Masatada Ishii is looking forward to wrapping up the Thai League 1 title with wins in the next two games.

The defending champions won 1-0 at Nongbua thanks to Jonathan Bolingi's 23rd-minute strike on Sunday night.

After 23 of 30 games, Buriram have 61 points, 12 ahead of Bangkok United.

"The pitch and the opponents' defensive tactics made it difficult for us to play," said Ishii, whose men remain unbeaten this term.

"However, if we win the next two games, we will become champions again. But we will have to keep on fighting, starting with the next game against Khon Kaen."

Buriram should have few problems when they host the King Cobras on Saturday.

They will then travel to Bangkok United on April 4 following the international break.

The Thunder Castle are chasing a treble for the second time in a row.

They are in the FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals and seen as hot favourites to lift the titles.

In Sunday's other late game in T1, Khon Kaen held out-of-sorts BG Pathum United to a scoreless draw to improve their chances of remaining in the top flight.

Khon Kaen have 26 points, five above the relegation zone, while Pathum sit eighth on 29 points.

Pathum next host Bangkok United on Sunday.
