Thailand's Annissa Tita Flynn won the women's shortboard title at the Phuket Surf Contest 2023 at the weekend.
She scored 10.35 points to beat compatriots Phrao Panutatnapha (8.00) and Lalana Sinsorak (7.20).
In the men's shortboard category, Jori Putra from Indonesia took the top spot with a total score of 12.50.
Febriansyah Biawak, also from Indonesia, came in second (12.25), followed by compatriot Pito Wardana (11.20).
Wasan Sarasai from Thailand was fourth (9.75).
In the men's longboard competition, Tedi Kurniadi from Indonesia emerged victorious with a score of 10.95, followed by Nathan Sadoun from France with 10.10.
Patthana Kerkhuntod from Thailand was third (9.40) and Muhamad Nor Afiq Haikal from Malaysia fourth (7.40).
In the women's longboard category, Kim Soo-Gi of South Korea was crowned champion with a score of 11.50, followed by Thailand's Flynn (7.65), compatriot Chanikan Phaitakasri (7.50) and Flora Christin from Indonesia (5.80).
The tournament, held at Kata Beach, was part of the Amazing Ultimate Festival, an array of sports and recreational tourism events organised by the Tourism and Sports Ministry and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
The festival took place across four coastal areas -- Khao Lak in Phangnga, Kata Beach in Phuket, Chalatat Beach in Songkhla and Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
The Phuket Surf Contest 2023, organised by the Thailand Surfing Federation (TSF), kicked off on June 23 and concluded on June 25.
The competition attracted more than 100 surfers from 14 countries.
TAT director Paiboon Thumsen and TSF Chanin Aiyarak presented the trophies and cash prizes to the winners.
