Muang Thong United have strengthened their team by signing five new players for the new Thai League 1 season, which kicks off next month.

Thanawat Suengchitthawon, Tristan Do, Jean Claude Billong, Suwit Paipromrat and Natthawat Thobansong were on Monday unveiled as the new Muang Thong players.

Club director Ronnarit Suewaja told a press conference at Thunder Dome Stadium on Monday that the Kirins were keen to improve on their fourth-place finish last season.

"We are happy to sign these five new players and I am confident their arrival will make our squad better," said Ronnarit.

"They are all very talented and their skills will serve the team well in the new season.

"We are excited about the upcoming season and are targeting a better finish.

"Coach Mario Gjurovski has induced an attacking philosophy in the team and we are hoping his tactics will continue delivering the desired results in the new season also."

Gjurovski thanked the club's executive board for strengthening the team.

"This will definitely have a big impact on our performances and we will be a stronger side in the new season," said the Kirins coach.

"We will still stick to our style.

"It's a big challenge for me and I'll try my best to live up to everyone's expectations."
