Former champions Muang Thong United unveiled their squad for the new season yesterday and promised to make an utmost effort to bring back the lost glory to the club.

The Kirins, who have adopted "Ignite The Passion" as their slogan for the 2023-2024 campaign, will be coached by Mario Gjurovski for the fourth year in a row.

The unveiling ceremony was held at Muang Thong's Thunder Dome Football Park yesterday.

The Kirins's onslaught on the three domestic titles will be spearheaded by their prolific striker Willian Popp.

The other important members of the squad are Weerathep Pomphan, Picha Autra, Tristan Do, Jaroensak Wonggorn, Poramet Arjvilai and Thanawat Suengchitthaworn.

Muang Thong United director Ronnarit Suewaja said: "We want to send out a message to everyone that Muang United are ready for the new season.

"We have worked hard in the off-season and tried to work out the best plan for the team so that we can be more successful this time.

"We have brought in some good Thai and foreign players.

"We have also promoted some talented players from our youth academy to the senior squad to make the team stronger.

"Muang Thong United should be a better team in the new season. We have a bigger dream this time. We want to bring the trophy back to Thunder Dome stadium."

The Kirins are scheduled to play their first game of the new season at home against Chiang Rai United on Sunday at 6pm.
