After defending her ONE atomweight Muay Thai world title, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is moving up a division to battle for another belt.
The 25-year-old Brazilian faces ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Smilla Sundell in the co-main event of ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham. This comes after Sundell's original opponent, Jackie Buntan, had to withdraw for personal reasons.
The fight takes place on Saturday, 30 September, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Undoubtedly, it will be a clash between two of the most dominant strikers in ONE Championship.
Rodrigues was last seen in action this past March at ONE Fight Night 8. There, she defended her Muay Thai throne against ONE atomweight kickboxing world champion Janet Todd. She surpassed her senior adversary by unanimous decision.
In her promotional debut, Rodrigues took the atomweight Muay Thai crown from former two-sport ONE world champion Stamp Fairtex.
It’s clear that Rodrigues is yearning for more accolades. So, she’s looking to Sweden’s superb strawweight in Sundell as her chance to lace her other shoulder with gold.
At only 18 years old, Sundell has stamped her mark on the strawweight Muay Thai division. "The Hurricane" has been untouchable across three promotional appearances.
Her most recent performance took place this past May at ONE Friday Fights 18. Sundell took on Milana Bjelogrlic. She swarmed the Bosnian banger across three rounds to earn a unanimous decision win.
This time, Sundell battles another decorated prodigy in Rodrigues. With her gold up for grabs, the Swedish striker will take the fight to the Brazilian star in what will be one to remember.
The pair will join an already stacked ONE Fight Night 14. The main event features a clash between top-ranked Stamp and No.2 Ham Seo Hee for the ONE interim women's atomweight MMA world title.

Ushering in those fights, ONE strawweight MMA world champ Xiong Jing Nan faces Thai star Nat "Wondergirl" Jaroonsak in a special rules fight. The two will don 4-ounce MMA gloves and only be able to punch.
