Hosts PT Prachuap fired home an injury-time equaliser to rescue a point in their Thai League 1 battle with promoted Nakhon Pathom United which ended in a 2-2 draw Sunday night.

Samuel Rosa gave the home team the edge by converting a 20th-minute penalty but the score was levelled before half-time when Sean Sabetkar conceded an own goal.

Gafar Durosinmi tilted the balance in the visitors's favour after 48 minutes and the match was suspended for some time because of a power failure.

Prachuap got the face-saving equaliser after two minutes of the added time through Apichart Denman.

Earlier on Saturday night, hosts Police Tero had two goals from Jeong Woo-Geun to claim three points after a 3-2 victory over Chonburi.

Chonburi found an opening in the 38th minute and took the lead through a Willian Lira header.

Police equalised a minute after the break when Jeong headed home a lob. In the 75th minute, Siam Yapp scored the second goal for Police but Chonburi cancelled it out three minutes later when Willian Lira converted a penalty.

During the six-minute added time, the hosts got the winning goal when Jeong found the net.

Also on Saturday night, hosts Trat could only share a point after a 0-0 draw with Chiang Rai United.

Vietnam win U23 crown

Vietnam took their second AFF U23 Championship 2023 title in two years after beating Indonesia in a fitting finale that went into extra time and then the penalty shoot-out at the Rayong Provincial Stadium.

With the match still scoreless at the end of extra time, it was Vietnam who emerged 6-5 victorious in the penalty shoot-out.
