Thailand face Mongolia in the second match of the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship 2023 at Korat Chatchai Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima today.

The match will be shown live on PPTV HD (36) at 6pm.

World No.16 Thailand are chasing their third Asian title after winning the championship twice in 2009 and 2013.

Their second title 10 years ago also came when the tournament was held in Nakhon Ratchasima.

Thailand are targeting their second straight Pool A win after they defeated Australia 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-22) on Wednesday.

Meanwhile Australia rebounded from Wednesday's loss with a 3-0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-14) victory over Mongolia yesterday.

Also yesterday, 13-time champions China claimed their second win in Pool D when they defeated Philippines 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-17).

Kazakhstan also won their second straight match by beating Hong Kong 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-17).

India handed Iran their second defeat in Pool B after winning match 3-1 ( 22-25, 25-19, 30-28, 25-17) yesterday.

There were two late matches in Pool C, with South Korea taking on Taiwan and Vietnam facing Uzbekistan.

Today, Japan (1-0) play India (1-0) in the only game in Pool B while Uzbekistan meet South Korea and Taiwan play Vietnam in Pool C.

In Pool D, China (2-0) play Kazakhstan (2-0) while Hong Kong (0-2) face Philippines (0-2).

The top two teams from each pool will advance to the second round.
