Bang Na marathon to raise funds for local hospital

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's sport association, in collaboration with various partners, will host the inaugural “the 1st Bang Na Running: Run for the Hospital" marathon event.

This initiative aims to raise funds for acquiring essential medical equipment and facilities for the BMA Bangna Hospital. Dr. Pijaya Nagavajra, president of the Sport Association of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and chairman of BMA Bangna Hospital Foundation, announced the event's details.

Scheduled for January 14, 2024, the event will take place at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). It is jointly organised by the BMA Bangna Hospital Foundation, Bang Na District Office, Bang Na Metropolitan Police Station, and local private sector entities.

Participants can choose from three race categories: a half marathon (21.1 kilometers), a mini marathon (10 kilometers), and a Fun Run (5 kilometers). The registration fees are 850 baht, 750 baht, and 500 baht, respectively. Individuals with disabilities can participate in the Fun Run without any registration charges.

The race will unfold along Debaratna Road in front of BITEC. Every participant completing the race will receive a medal of honor. Additionally, the top performers in the 10-kilometer and 21.1-kilometer races will be honored with the royal trophy by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
