Thailand coach Mano Polking said the War Elephants must be better prepared for their next warm-up game against Estonia after they were humiliated 8-0 by Georgia on Thursday.

Georges Mikautadze scored four goals, Zuriko Davitashvili two and Luka Lochoshvili and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia one each at Tbilisi's David Petriashvilli Stadium.

Davitashvili opened the floodgates after nine minutes and Lochoshvili made it 2-0 three minutes later.

Mikautadze needed just 17 minutes from the 12th minute to complete his hat-trick as Davitashvili netted his second goal just before half-time.

Mikautadze scored his fourth after 56 minutes and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia completed the rout 10 minutes later.

Thailand were without several key players including Chanathip Songkrasin, Theerathon Bunmathan and Teerasil Dangda.

The Thais were led by stand-in captain Kritsada Kaman, Tristan Do and Elias Dolah.

"We expected to have a better result," Polking said after the match.

"We have several new faces but we won't blame anyone. Every player did his best. It's a game for them to learn as they played against a strong team. We made several mistakes and were punished. Everyone must learn from this.

"We have to work harder and be better prepared for the next game against Estonia."

Thailand take on Estonia at A Le Coq Arena in Tallin at 11pm (Thai time) on Oct 17.

It is part of Thailand's preparation for their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign which begins next month.
