After a stellar year, ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong has revealed that ONE Championship is looking at some record-breaking numbers for 2024.

Chatri posted a clip from his recent interview on CNBC Asia's Squawk Box, with a caption explaining the promotion's position.

"According to Nielsen, ONE is now the No.1 most-watched combat sports property in the world and ranks among the top 10 largest sports properties on the planet in terms of viewership. ONE is on track to hit north of US$100m in revenues for 2023 and approximately US$200m in revenues for 2024," he wrote.

Recent Nielsen reports have also indicated that ONE ranks among the top sports properties in the world in terms of global reach and social media engagement metrics.

The report ranked the promotion at No.1 among martial arts promotions.

ONE has expanded rapidly in recent years, with its reach into more than 190 countries resulting in a sharp increase in viewership across the globe.

It's expanding audience in the West culminated in its maiden United States event earlier this year.

The sports industry is a notoriously difficult space to break into and achieve profitability without significant risk and investment.

However, and according to Chatri, ONE's success is about to pay off in a literal sense.

"Our viewership metrics are up triple digits in terms of percentage growth as our live events have tripled to ~60 in 2023 vs ~20 in 2022," he said.

"Amazingly, ONE is now broadcast live every week to over 190 countries around the world. Most importantly though, ONE is on track to hit profitability in its core business by the second half of 2024."

Over the weekend, the ONE boss also announced that the promotion will return to Japan and the Middle East in the first quarter of 2024.

In the meantime, ONE returns to action with ONE Fight Night 17 on Dec 9. The all-Muay Thai card at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok is headlined by two-weight ONE kickboxing world champion Roman Kryklia, who meets Australia's Alex Roberts for the inaugural ONE heavyweight Muay Thai world title.
