Chen faces Han in women's final at China Masters

Chen Yufei and Han Yue will battle it out for the women's singles title at the US$1 million China Masters in Shenzhen today.

Chinese third seed Chen defeated Kim Ga-Eun of South Korea 21-16, 21-15 while eighth seed Han, also from China, defeated compatriot Wang Zhiyi 21-14, 21-18 in the semi-finals at Shenzhen Bay Gymnasium.

Thailand's interest in the World Tour Super 750 tournament ended on Friday when mixed doubles duo Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai bowed out in the quarter-finals.

However their conquerors -- Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet of Hong Kong -- lost to fourth seeds Seo Sueng-Jae and Chae Yu-Jung of South Korea 17-21, 13-21.

The Korean pair will face Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong of China in the title match today.

The top seeds defeated fellow Chinese and third seeds Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping 21-16, 21-13.

In the women's doubles semi-finals yesterday, fourth seeds Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota made it to the final.

They knocked out top seeds Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan of China 14-21, 21-16, 21-15.

They will play Japan's Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida, who defeated eighth seeds Jeong Na-Eun and Kim Hye-Jeong of South Korea 21-13, 22-20 in the final.

In the men's singles event, third seed Kodai Naraoka and Kanta Tsuneyama, both from Japan, were to face off in the first semi-final while Japan's Kenta Nishimoto was to face China's Zhao Junpeng.
