BG Pathum United saw three players get on the scoresheet as they hammered Chonburi 3-1 in an away Thai League 1 encounter on Saturday night.

It didn't matter much that BG Pathum coach Thongchai Sukkoki rested a number of key players who represented Thailand in the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers recently as the Rabbits were a goal ahead after 23 seconds when Freddy Alvarez found the net with a long shot.

Chenrop Samphaodi made Pathum United's intentions clear when he doubled the former champions' lead in the sixth minute.

The Rabbits dominated the second half as well and got their third goal on the hour mark when Santiparp Channgom scored.

Chonburi pulled one back late in the match through Channarong Promsrikaew.

Thongchai said: "We rested a number of players but we did well. We can see that Chenrop has improved a lot.

"We marked their players very well but there are many things that we need to improve."

Also on Saturday night, hosts Lamphun Warriors dragged themselves out of the three-team relegation zone with a shock 3-1 victory over former champions Muang Thong United.

Mika Chunuonsee put Lamphun in lead after eight minutes before Taua Ferreira made it 2-0 in the 20th minute.

The Kirins reduced the deficit when Poramet Arjvilai struck three minutes later, but the Warriors found the net again in the 76th minute when Sarawut Inpaen scored.

At Thalay Luang Stadium, Sukhothai, playing under new coach Sukao Kambe, picked up their fourth win of the season as they overpowered visiting PT Prachuap 2-0 with John Baggio scoring both goals.
