South Korea tie tickets to go on sale

Tickets for the World Cup qualifier between Thailand and Group C favourites South Korea on March 26 will go on sale today.

Spanish coach Miguel Rodrigo.

Prices for the match at Rajamangala National Stadium, which range from 750, 700, 560, 395, 295 and 165 baht, can be purchased at Thai Ticket Major website starting at 10am.

Thailand are scheduled to play South Korea in Seoul in the first of the crucial home-and-away qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals on March 21.

The matches will be Masatada Ishii's major assignment after the Japanese coach signed a contract that will keep him at the helm of the Thailand national men's team until the conclusion of the Fifa World Cup finals in July 2026.

Meanwhile, Spaniard Miguel Rodrigo will return as coach of the Thailand futsal team as they are due to begin their preparation for the AFC Futsal (five-a-side) Asian Cup in April.

The 54-year-old Rodrigo was chosen after a plan to bring in "Pato" Jose Lucas Mena Navarro as coach was cancelled due to his health problems.

Rodrigo, also known as "The Magician", had his first stint as Thailand futsal coach in 2016, leading the team to the knockout stage of the futsal World Cup in Colombia that same year.

He also led Japan to two Asian titles in 2012 and 2014.
