A champion versus champion showdown has been announced for ONE Lumpinee 58.
ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella will put his title on the line against divisional Muay Thai king Prajanchai PK Saenchai at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on April 5.
The blockbuster event will mark the second defence of Di Bella's crown that he won in an instant classic with Zhang Peimian in 2022.
The Italian-Canadian superstar turned back a determined Danial Williams in his first defence of the inaugural strawweight kickboxing strap. In fact, his speed and incredible fighting scored him a dominant unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 15 last October.
The hard-fought victory brought his unblemished professional kickboxing record to 12-0.
Prajanchai, on the other hand, reclaimed his place at the top of the strawweight Muay Thai division with a crushing first-round knockout win over Joseph Lasiri last December.
The 29-year-old completed his redemption story after suffering an upset loss to Lasiri in 2022.
He won the interim strawweight Muay Thai strap with a second-round TKO win over Sam-A Gaiyanghadao last June, his second victory over the Thai legend.
In between those wins, Prajanchai reminded the world that his skills translate perfectly to the kickboxing rule set with a decision win over tough Algerian Akram Hamidi to set the scene for his date with Di Bella.
Now, he'll be shooting for double-champ status when he meets Di Bella in a battle between two of the best in the strawweight striking ranks.
Prajanchai is a former WBA Asia South boxing champion, and his pugilistic prowess has regularly been on display across his five victories under the ONE banner.
Di Bella, for his part, has also regularly practised "the sweet science," and the Team Di Bella Kickboxing representative has a pair of professional wins to his name as a boxer.
Di Bella v Prajanchai adds to the previously announced ONE Lumpinee 58 main event between old foes Superbon Singha Mawynn and Marat Grigorian.
The pair will clash for the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world title.
