In the third round at the par-72 Burapha Golf and Resort in Chon Buri, Prayad posted a four-under 68 for 199 in the second event of the season on both the Singha All Thailand Tour and the Asean PGA Tour.

Making five birdies against one bogey, the 48-year-old stands a good chance to seal a wire-to-wire win.

Today’s final round could be a family affair as his nephew Kwanchai Tannin, the defending champion, was second following a sizzling 63 for 203.

Kwanchai fired nine birdies in a bogey-free third round.
