Asian Games bronze medallists Danthai, Natipong Srithong, Kasidit Lepkrute and Tawan Pongphun secured a wire-to-wire victory on 821 at Empire Golf and Country Club.

It was the country's 16th victory in the annual tournament for men's amateur golfers in Southeast Asia.

Singapore finished second on 844, Malaysia third on 857 and defending champions the Philippines fourth on 873.

Thailand were also dominant in the individual contest with Danthai winning the title on 269, ahead of runner-up Natipong (273) and third-placed Kasidit (279).

Danthai, who also got bronze at the Youth Olympics in August, followed in the footsteps of Thailand's leading players who won the tournament including Boonchu Ruangkit, Thongchai Jaidee and Prom Meesawat.

In the other events held at the same course, Thailand swept both team and individual titles at the Lion City Cup (under-18 men) and Kartini Cup (women's amateur).

Suradit Yongcharoenchai and Pannarat Thanapolboonyaras won the Lion City Cup and Kartini Cup respectively.

But Thailand failed to win at the Santi Cup (under-18 women).

They finished second in the team event and Parinda Phokan was runner-up in the individual competition.

Thailand will host the tournaments next year.
