In the final round of the 54-hole tournament, overnight leader Punpaka posted a two-under-par 70 to capture her first professional title on a six-under-par 210.

Former national player Supamas Sangchan (69), Pinrath Loomboonruang (70), and Kusuma Meechai (71) were tied for second on 211.

Amateur Benyapa Niphatsopon (70), who last month won gold in the team event at the SEA Games, shared fifth place on 214 with Renuka Suksukont (72).

Punpaka, 24, who yesterday made five birdies, one bogey and a double bogey, took home 142,500 baht.

Punpaka, the 2007 SEA Games champion, needed a final-hole birdie to win the title.

“I am really happy to get a birdie at the final hole and avoid a play-off,”  said the golfer, who turned pro last year.

“I want to play on the regional tours for two years and then try to qualify for a bigger tour.”

The next Thai LPGA Tour event will be at Black Mountain Golf Club, Hua Hin from July 15-17.
