74 held in Bang Khen gambling den raid

Seventy-four people have been arrested and about 450,000 baht seized during a raid on a gambling den in Bangkok’s Bang Khen district in the early hours of Thursday.

A combined force of police and soldiers raided a three-storey commercial building in Soi Khubon 27 of Tha Raeng area, Bang Khen district, shortly after midnight.

They rounded up 41 men and 33 women gambling on high-low dice games and card games inside the building. Gambling equipment and 449,801 baht cash was seized, according to Thairath Online.

Nine of the detained gamblers were foreign nationals, 2 men and 7 women. All those arrested were held in police custody for legal action.
