14 illegal Chinese workers netted at Pattaya construction site

Tourist police arrested 14 Chinese nationals on Tuesday for working with no permits.

Police rounded them up while they were working at a restaurant construction site in Bang Lamung district in Chon Buri, after a tip-off to authorities.

Pattaya Tourist Police chief Pol Maj Piyapong Ensarn said all were taken to Pattaya police station for charges on illegally working after they did not have working permits.

Police will contact the immigration office in the province to take them for repatriation.

Their names have not been released.
