Bangkok casino raided again, gamblers caught

A casino whose reputed owner has faced legal action before for running an illegal gambling den at the same address off Ramkhamhaeng road has been raided again and 141 punters caught at the tables.

A combined team of police and soldiers burst into the two-storey building behind a market on Ramkhamhaeng Soi 127 late on Tuesday night.

Seventy-one men and 70 women at the gambing tables were rounded up. They included 11 foreigners.

The inside of the building was remodelled as a casino and sectioned into rooms for different games,  including baccarat and high-low dice.

Investigators identified the casino owner as a man, named only as Hia To, who had been arrested in a past raid but apparently continued to operate a gambling den at the same address.
