SAMUT PRAKAN: A new graduate was found dead in his bedroom with a stove and pot containing ashes, along with bottles and cans of beer, at a condominium on Soi Abac in Bang Bo district early Tuesday morning.

The dead man, Jirapat Lin-anupawa, 24, was found lying on his bed after a condominium supervisor unlocked the room about 1.30am at the request of friends who had been unable to contact Jirapat since Friday.

Also in the room were a new stove and a new pot containing ashes. The vent in the bedroom door was closed with adhesive tape.

He was wearing only a pair of jeans.

Outside the bedroom, there was a note apologising to his mother, grandmother and an unidentified person, and accepting the blame for many situations he had faced in the past year.

A friend of the dead man, who was due to attend his graduation ceremony in the near future, said Jirapat recently broke up with his girlfriend.

Friends had earlier saved him from another suicide attempt using dry ice.

Police were investigating.
