The opposition was given 6.94 out of 10 points -- compared to the government's 5.11 -- in the debate on the 2020 budget bill in the House of Representatives on Oct 17-19, according to a survey by the Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, or Suan Dusit Poll.

The poll was carried out on Oct 18-19 on 436 people to compile their opinions on the debate.

In terms of satisfaction, 56.44% of the respondents said they were unhappy with the debate while 43.56% were satisfied with it.

Of those who were not satisfied, 33.02% said some debaters frequently spoke out of context while the government side did not answer some of the questions clearly, while 23.42% said they were very unsatisfied because the main content of the debate was disrupted by protests.

Of those who were satisfied overall, 36.07% said they were fairly satisfied as the two sides provided details on the budget and raised political awareness of the issues, while 7.49% said they were highly pleased with it.

The respondents gave the opposition 6.04 out 10, while the government scored 5.11.
