The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has released a second edition of the hugely popular Muaythai Guide, a free guidebook to 50 select Muay Thai kickboxing gyms and clubs in Thailand.

A total of 5,600 copies of the 200-page guidebook are now available for free at the headquarters of the SAT in Hua Mak area of Bang Kapi district of Bangkok, said Naiyana Phonpradap, head of the SAT's Muay Thai department.

The first edition, published last year in an effort to promote Muay Thai gyms businesses, came in three languages -- Thai, English and Chinese -- while the new edition has also been printed in Russian and German, she said.

The guidebook was highly popular not only with Thais and foreigners interested in Muay Thai but also the operators of gyms and clubs, she said.

However, the SAT chose not to add any new gyms or clubs this year, despite an overwhelming number of requests from operators to be included.
