The names of the new crop of top military commanders, including ACM Airbull Suttiwan are scheduled to be announced this weekend, according to a military source.
The shake-up involves more than 700 post changes across the forces and military offices.
Airbull: Tipped to lead air force
Gen Chalermpol Srisawasdi, the armed forces chief of staff, will likely become supreme commander; Gen Narongphan Jitkaewtae, an assistant army chief, is tipped for army chief; and Adm Chatchai Srivorakhan, an assistant navy chief, will likely move up to become the new navy chief.
Admiral Chatchai was nominated by his predecessor Admiral Luechai Ruddit.
ACM Airbull, an air force specialist, is set to serve as the new air force chief, replacing ACM Maanat Wongwat.
