Three more Myanmar nationals who worked at a plastic factory in coronavirus-plagued Samut Sakhon province were found abandoned in Samut Prakan’s Bang Phli district.

Police from Bang Phli station went to pick up the three abandoned workers on Wednesday after they told compatriots by phone that they had nowhere to go. Officers later took them for Covid-19 screenings.

The three workers were among a group of Myanmar nationals taken in five vehicles from the factory in Samut Sakhon to Samut Prakan province late on Tuesday night. Fourteen migrant workers were left on Soi Green Lake in tambon Racha Thewa district at 11pm.

Health officials from Bang Phli Hospital on Wednesday collected samples from all migrant workers quarantined at Samut Prakan sports stadium for lab testing in Chon Buri province.
