Police nab 2 over sex toy sales

A couple have been arrested and accused of selling sex toys and sex-enhancement food supplements online over the past two years, said the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD).

The CPPD held a press conference to announce the arrest of a Thai man and his Vietnamese wife on charges of running the online sale of the prohibited items. The couple were not identified by police.

Pol Maj Gen Anan Nanasombat, the CPPD commander, said the couple sold the illegal food supplements with claims of aphrodisiac property under the brand of X-Marvel Max and sex toys via the ‘Kodsextoy' online website.

Police raided three warehouses that stored the products in Bangkok and Samut Prakan. They seized the items, which also included lubrication gel, worth more than 500,000 baht.

Among the charges, the couple face is the importing of food supplements without permission, selling medical equipment without a licence and selling pornographic items.
