ZP Therapeutics, a division of Zuellig Pharma and the official partner of Moderna in Thailand, has confirmed the first shipment of 560,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine will arrive in Thailand by Nov 5.
The company is also on track as per a confirmation provided by Moderna to deliver the remaining 1.9 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to Thailand by the end of the year. Another 6.8 million doses are expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2022, it said.
"To ensure that we can deliver a consistent supply of vaccine, ZP Therapeutics has submitted documents to register Moderna's US manufacturing site with Thailand's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on top of the currently approved manufacturing site,'' it said.
"ZP Therapeutics remains committed to supporting the government in achieving their goal of a successful mass Covid-19 vaccination drive by providing a reliable supply of the Moderna vaccine. The documents are being considered by the FDA." Further updates would come in due course.
