Motorcyclist killed in crash with big bike

PRACHIN BURI: The driver of a small motorcycle was killed when it was hit by a much bigger bike in Muang district on Tuesday night.

Pol Capt Mongkol Larintha, an investigator at Muang police station, said the accident occurred about 9.30pm on Prachin Thani road near Moo 8 village in tambon Ban Phra.

The smaller motorcycle was making a U-turn and was hit by a big bike coming from the opposite direction.

The motorcycle driver, Along Mayoe, 44, a Chiang Rai man of Akha ethnicity, was killed and his motorcycle wrecked by the violent impact.

The big bike driver, Thanpisit Khonthiang, 22, from Prachin Buri's Muang district, was seriously injured and was admitted to Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital.
