The country registered 26,234 more Covid-19 cases and 67 new fatalities during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Saturday morning.
Saturday's figures did not include 21,697 positive results from antigen tests over the past 24 hours. This would raise the total to 47,931.
This compared with the 69 coronavirus-related fatalities and 26,050 new cases reported on Friday morning.

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Saturday afternoon that the 67 new fatalities were aged from 25 to 98 years old with the average age of 70. There were 31 men and 36 women. Sixty-five were Thais, and two others were from Myanmar.
Bangkok had 12 new deaths. There were eight in adjacent provinces - four in Nakhon Pathom, three in Samut Sakhon and one in Samut Prakan.
Other central plain provinces further from the capital logged 21 new deaths – four each in Kanchanaburi and Chon Buri, two each in Samut Songkhram, Suphan Buri and Ratchaburi and one each in Ayutthaya, Lop Buri, Rayong, Chachoengsao, Uthai Thani, Ang Thong and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
The South had 10 new fatalities – four in Songkhla, two in Krabi and one each in Phuket, Trang, Satun and Pattani.
The North reported nine new deaths – two each in Lampang, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun, and one each in Phrae, Kamphaeng Phet and Chiang Rai.
The Northeast saw seven fatalities – two in Ubon Ratchathani and one each in Surin, Loei, Buri Ram, Khon Kaen and Nong Khai.

There were 26,123 new cases in the general population, 75 among prison inmates and 36 imported cases.
Of the new infections in the general population, 26,068 were confirmed at hospitals and 55 via mass testing.
Bangkok logged the most new cases at 3,128, down by 611 from 3,739 on the previous day, followed by 1,356 in Nakhon Si Thammarat (-289), 1,305 in Chon Buri (+215), 875 in Samut Prakan (-27), 759 in Samut Sakhon (-72), 727 in Songkhla (+248), 691 in Nakhon Pathom (+241), 657 in Roi Et (+2), 652 in Nonthaburi (+5) and 581 in Phatthalung (139).
The 36 imported cases came from 19 countries and included four each from Iran, Israel and the United Kingdom, three each from Myanmar, Singapore and Turkey and two each from Saudi Arabia and Germany.
On Friday, 250,265 people received Covid-19 treatment (up from 244,111 on the previous day), including 1,615 seriously ill patients with lung information (down from 1,619) and 640 others dependent on ventilators (up from 630).
The 24-hour period also saw 20,013 patients discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.
Vaccinations continued to progress, with 128.39 million doses administered as of Friday. 79.4% of the population have now received at one dose of the vaccine, 72.2 % have received two shots and 33.0% a booster dose, according to the CCSA.
Global Covid-19 cases rose by 1.58 million in 24 hours to 479.96 million. The worldwide death toll went up by 4,566 to 6.14 million. In past 7 days,
Over the past seven days, South Korea had the most cases of 2.50 million, followed by Germany 1.59 million cases, Vietnam with 948,713 cases and France 822,109 cases.
Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 3,477,030 Covid-19 cases, including 1,059,790 cases this year.
The accumulated death toll stood at 24,648 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The highest number of Covid-related fatalities in a 24-hour period was 312 recorded on Aug 13. The highest number of cases was 27,071 on March 18.
