UBON RATCHATHANI: Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha spent a moment trimming hair for an army veteran during his trip to inspect the flood situation in this northeastern province on Tuesday.

PM: Give me a pair of scissors! Why? Don't you trust me? I'll snip off the hair.

Veteran: I am afraid I am not as handsome as the prime minister.

PM: You just shook. What are you afraid of? Are you afraid that I'll make a mockery of you? His hair is beautiful. How old are you? Oh, you are about my age. Why won't it cut?

Soldier: It works, sir.

PM: I will trim the hair on the back, the one that stands out. You are 62 years old, four years younger than me.

Veteran: It will look good, however.

PM: Are you an army veteran?

Veteran: Yes, sir.

PM: Where was your unit?

Veteran: This camp, sir.

PM: Is your child a soldier?

Veteran: My younger brother is. He retired as a lieutenant.

PM: Pardon me for touching your head.

Veteran: I'm proud because this is a blessing for me.

Stranger: Do you want your haircut fixed?

Veteran: I want to keep this hairdo because the prime minister did it for me. Let it stay.
