SAMUT PRAKAN: The Paveena Hongsakul Foundation has come to the assistance of a homeless woman found secretly living inside Suvarnabhumi airport for over two months.

Airport police contacted the foundation on Friday after learning that the 28-year-old woman had been living at Gate 4 since August.

Paveena Hongsakul, the founder of the foundation, met with the woman at the airport along with officials from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

The emaciated woman, whose name was withheld, had been previously reported as begging for handouts from airport visitors and stealing from convenience stores. She reportedly told authorities that she was waiting for her mother to retrieve her.

The woman was unable to clearly provide her home address or details on any relatives.

The foundation is now working with the ministry to locate family members and has taken the woman into temporary care at the Samut Prakan Protection Centre for the Destitute.
