The cabinet agreed on Tuesday to declare a four-day New Year public holiday.
PM's secretary-general Prommin Lertsuridej said the New Year holiday would be from Friday Dec 29 to Monday Jan 1 inclusive.
Officials had also already proposed a longer holiday for the following New Year, five days from Dec 28, 2024, to Jan 1, 2025, inclusive, he said.
