Meth pills found in parcels left at delivery firm

CHIANG MAI: Authorities seized 500,000 methamphetamine pills in five parcels left at a logistics firm in Fang district on Monday evening.

Police accompanied by rangers from the Pha Muang task force went to the Flash Express Fang branch in tambon Wiang after receiving a call from the branch manager.

The manager said a man had come into the office with five parcels. He told staff that he would leave the packages there. He immediately left. 

The manager feared they might contain illegal goods and tried to contact the sender via the pnone number on the parcels. There was no answer. He called police.

When police examined the parcels, they found 500,000 meth pills.

The investigation was continuing
