Two villagers slain in Yala

Two men were shot dead when attacked by a number of assailants in Yala's Bannang Sata district on Thursday.

Police said Seng Changkid, 52, and Kittisak Chamnanlee, 61, both of moo 2 of tambon Tano Pute, were leaving their village on a motorcycle when the assailants opened fire, killing them on the spot.

Police were investigating.
