Unknown man slain in Narathiwat

An unidentified man was shot dead on a road in tambon Riko in Narathiwat's Sungai Padi district on Thursday morning.

Pol Lt Col Supawat Jisiri, an officer on duty, was informed that the body of a man around the age of 30 had been found lying in the road between Kuwa and Lubo Bato villages.

He was wearing green slacks and a blue T-shirt.

The victim had been shot twice in the head and twice in the body with a 9mm pistol. Four spent 9mm shells were recovered from the scene.

Police were investigating.
